Pile is an open-source, agent-native issue tracker designed to replace Linear operationally. It is backend-first: HTTP, MCP, OpenAPI, and a generated client, with workspace-isolated real-time state.
What makes it different
- Agent-native from day one: scoped API tokens, MCP tools, agent sessions, and outbound webhooks so agents can read and mutate state reliably.
- Workspace-isolated real-time state: one Durable Object per organization coordinates state, with D1 for metadata and R2 for attachments.
- OpenAPI-first: every route is typed with
@hono/zod-openapiand exposed as an MCP tool, with a generated TypeScript client.
